Annet Mahendru

Mahendru is an Afghani lady born of an Russian father and an Hindu Indian mother. She fluently speaks German Russian English. Annet Mahendru, born in India to her Russian father as well as an Indian mother, is proficient in both languages. She choreographed her 11 year old performance which resulted in a German TV show appearance as the Russian Snow Maiden. She transforms into a playful Indian dancer. After completing the requirements for high school in New York, she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from St. John's University. In college, she attended acting classes at the HB Studio, but she moved on to study improvisation with The Groundlings School taking on several comedy shows afterward. Her parents were an Afghani Hindu Indian mother and a Russian father, who lived in Kabul in Afghanistan. The family moved together with their father to East Meadow, New York, when she was 13 year old. She appears on FX's The Americans alongside Matthew Rhys. Her role on FX's The Americans as Nina Sergeevna Krilova is perhaps her most memorable television appearance. The actress has a regular role in The Following on Fox, The Following and NBC's The Blacklist.
