April Lockhart

April Lockhart was born on July 4, 1995. In seventh grade she began playing guitar and piano lessons which ignited her passion for music writing. At the age of 12, she composed her first single called Different. The year she turned 14 was when she spent a lot of her time making song lyrics and working on her music. After a while, she began traveling with her father and to write songs in NY and LA. April added other themes to the track "Take My Hand" for some of acquaintances who faced issues such as peer pressurization disabilities, and even teenager suicide. Lockhart works in partnerships at famous cosmetics brand Ilia and also is a lifestyle blogger with her own growing following. Her birthplace didn't come with a left hand, and that is why she's the person she is. It's just not all the facts. Lockhart does not deny that she has a disability on her Instagram account, but she doesn't make it the focus of her story. The profile is a statement. The message? We are all multifaceted, and that our physical and identity self aren't as they seem. Lockhart, via video message from Nashville home, states that I do not want my physical appearance to define myself. I'm more than my physical self. This doesn't interfere with my life. It's all normal, and I've learned to adapt. In addition, I see it to be a vital component of my life. Lockhart, a real motivation for self-acceptance generally she is on a long road to reach it. Even so, Lockhart admits to going through periods that made her feel uncomfortable about her appearance, and the clothes that showed her arms.
