Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, Puy-deDomme France in August 9th 1976. Audrey Tautou is the fourth child in a family of four. Audrey Tautou's parents, who are a dental doctor and a school teacher helped and encouraged her passion for acting and theatre. Her initial dream of becoming a specialist in monkeys was surpassed by her desire to study theater and drama. The early success of her career and the rapid rise in fame was a sign of her development as an actor. In 1998, after completing her education, she was selected to take part in Jeunes Premiers an French television talent-scouting program that was that was sponsored by Canal+. There she received the award for best Young Actress in Beziers Festival of Young Actors. The result was that she decided to begin her acting profession. Tautou, who attended in the Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris in her youth and was a student there from young age but has sworn off her Catholic education. The actress declares herself to be non-Catholic. Her acting and modelling careers have been interspersed. Tautou was the model for L'Oreal Mont Blanc Chanel, and she is often known as the Chanel Muse. In addition to her acting career she is also interested in photography. She recently exhibited some photos in Arles Film Festival. Arles Film Festival, under the name Superficial. Her photos are mostly about the spotlight and fame. Also, they include a collection of self portraits as well. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom and international fame with her debut role as a lead character in the film Le Fabuleux Destin de l'Amelie Poulain. Amelie was a worldwide box office film that received acclaim during awards ceremonies across the globe. It is currently the top grossing French film on the market in US. The film's success led to a huge increase in production. Tautou was later cast in a variety of films, which included British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long Sunday de fiancailles. Also, she starred with Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code directed by Dan Brown.
