Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej or now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first gymnast to score a 10 for an Olympic competition. Comaneci was spotted by Bela Karolyi who was later her Romanian gymnastics coach when she was only six years old. First competing in the national junior championships in Romania in the year 1969, she finished 13th. And in 1970, was crowned champion. In her 1972 first international meet in a preolympics junior competition for countries in the Communist bloc, she was awarded three gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1975 she was awarded the All-around Junior Champion. In 1975, she won 4 gold and 1 silver in her first senior international competition. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European champion. She won the American Cup at the New York City Olympics. She also was the first female to ever dismount bars in parallel with the double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her career began in entertainment during her teenage years, when she performed as the figure skating duo of their twin sister Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol was a professional as an entertainer as a teen. In her early years, Carol began as a figure skater for traveling shows Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. Ice Capades featured performances of skating on ice with actors.
